Control, metrics, reports and analysis
To carry out the control of the quality processes, the information officers are defined, as well as the necessary data to carry out the measurement, monitoring and evaluation of the Quality Plans and the interfaces on which to measure them.
The data obtained during the control of the process allow the preparation of the Quarterly Report of the Quality System, which is distributed to the Logistics Community of the Port of Barcelona. In this way, the receiver can be informed of the process that his goods has undergone while at the port during inspection and incidents.
A very important part of this activity is the Analysis of claims that affect the processes within the scope of the Quality Plan and activation of the Guarantee Programme, as well as the information, transparency and notification of incidents with seals and/or goods and of the informative label of physical inspection to the logistics community.
The ultimate objective of process control entails the review and improvement phase, since from the analysis of data and customer complaints it is possible to consider the development of the provision of the service, taking into account the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes, and setting new goals.
In this phase, cooperation and collaboration with companies and entities in the port area is very important.
